Barcelona turn to Pjanic and there may already be verbal agreement
According to the Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, Barcelona may even advance through the competition of Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic who belongs to Juventus, however, the contours of an eventual deal still seem far from being detailed.
With a foot-to-foot style of football, Miralem Pjanic seems to please Barcelona coach Quique Setien, who is also a fan of lacy football and built from behind. Even so, this possible advance by another midfielder will be a new demonstration that Barcelona has not yet found stability in their intermediate zone since the departure of the historic Xavi Hernandez and Andrés Iniesta.
Since the departure of these two experts in possession of the ball and quality of passing, several coaches have tested different options with names such as Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Frenkie De Jong, Arthur Melo, Paulinho or André Gomes passing through the ranks of the club without a clear success .
With that in mind, Setien continues to try to find the ideal elements to equip a talented attack formed by Lionel Messi, Luís Suárez and Antoine Griezmann, and it seems that Miralem Pjanic may contain interesting characteristics to perform these functions.
Endowed with great quality of short and long passing, with an equally interesting dead ball and a strong fighting capacity, the Bosnian can play a very complete role in the Blaugrana midfield, assisting Sergio Busquets in defensive tasks, but also contributing to the ball transport for the attack.
Pjanic has lost some preponderance of Juventus this season under the command of Maurizio Sarri and the Italian team itself could welcome a transfer that would bring some money to their coffers or even a quality midfielder from the city.
JUVE DREAMS WITH ARTHUR
Recently, it was reported that talented Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo could be leaving Barcelona after not having the expected impact in his first season with the club. Arthur is only 23 years old and has a wide margin of progression for what would be seen as a great bargaining chip by Miralem Pjanic, however, the ex-Grêmio player himself seems more interested in staying in Catalonia and showing his whole category in the near future .
According to the Italian press, Juventus wants something like 60 million euros for the Bosnian midfielder and Barcelona will never reach those values so the verbal agreement between player and Barcelona will not be enough to mobilize a transfer – it is also necessary to reach an agreement with Juventus.
Arthur would be very well regarded by Juventus, but perhaps Barcelona himself is somewhat reluctant to face this possibility, considering that the Brazilian player is a future bet for the Blaugrana.
POGBA IS ALSO JUVENTUS’S BET FOR 2020-21
If it is true that Juventus plans to let Miralem Pjanic leave, it is equally true that the Italian club can let out a few more midfielders in order to sign the one who could be the owner and lord of the place next season: Paul Pogba. The French midfielder had a season to forget at Manchester United and with the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and Fred’s affirmation he may even have lost some space in the eleven of the English, so a way out may be on the horizon and with Real Madrid apparently out, Juventus can have a clear path.
According to the international press, the Italian club plans to offer Aaron Ramsey and Adrian Rabiot to the Red Devils in exchange with the world champion for France. In England, there are still many doubts related to the permanence of Pogba taking into account that he could form a dream team with Bruno Fernandes as munitions of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, however, his departure never seemed as cautious as today.
The arrivals of Ramsey and Rabiot, however, will not be exactly the type of business that would most interest Manchester United, which, perhaps, would prefer to receive Ramsey with some money. But everything indicates that the middleweight dance will be fashionable in this summer market with Barcelona setting the tone for what may be a trend that will come by drag.
Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid and Manchester United are some of the clubs that may be involved in several player exchanges this summer, given the lack of liquidity that should affect the clubs, and it will be very interesting to see which ones will be laughing at the end of accounts when the 2020-21 season comes to an end.
